VonShef 3-Cup Moka Pot Review

Pour espresso into a 3.5 oz. espresso cup

If you need a quick and simple espresso fix and are on a tight budget, you may want to check out the VonShef 3-cup Moka pot. This Moka pot is sold at Amazon.com under the name ‘VonShef 3 cup Italian espresso coffee maker stove top macchinetta’. Macchinetta is another name for a Moka pot.

A 3-cup Moka pot can brew 3 espresso cups of coffee, three cups referring to three espresso cups, not the regular sized (12 fl oz) mugs. 1 espresso cup is equal to 60 ml (about 2 fl oz), so don’t be disappointed when your normal sized mug only gets filled to the half way mark.

What is espresso you may be wondering? Espresso, according to Dictionary.com is a strong coffee prepared by forcing steam or boiling water under pressure through ground dark-roast coffee beans.

Here’s what we like about the VonShef 3-cup Moka pot:

However, we noticed the following after using VonShef 3-cup Moka pot for over 5 times:

Coffee collector, funnel, and heating vessel (bottom chamber)
Look at the discoloration of this moka pot (made with similar materials as Vonshef). This belongs to a host at an Airbnb apartment in New York City. She said it happened because guests washed it in a dishwasher.

You can purchase Vonshef 3 cup Moka Pot for $9.99 at Amazon.com. It also comes in 6-cup and 9-cup capacities.
