Are you ready for a simple change in your kitchen?
The kitchen is the room where family members gather each morning for coffee and breakfast. It is also an important hub for evening chats and home cooked meals. When guests come over, they will linger in the kitchen for coffee and drinks. A survey by Houzz shows that we spend 12% or 2.8 hours a day in the kitchen.
Whether it’s a bronze coffee pot or a coffee art wall décor with the word “coffee” in 10 different languages, it is now so easy to dream up a coffee themed kitchen. Social media platforms like Pinterest and Instagram are the places we go to for inspiration.
Look no further if you have been thinking about having a coffee themed kitchen decor. Here are five ideas from Instagram to help you spruce up your kitchen to look like your favorite cozy and comfy coffee shop:
1. Using chalkboard wall stickers
Luminocom, a decor company in San Pedro Sula, Honduras showcased this photo on their Instagram account:
Great usage of lighting, bold color and a chalkboard. You can write whatever you want on the chalkboard. Perhaps make it a board to write an inspiration quote for the day, as a homework corner for the kids or write the coffee menu just like your favorite coffee shop. Chalkboard wall stickers come in different sizes. They are easily removable and affordable. Here is one from Houseables for $12.
2. Stackable coffee cups in assorted colors or unique designs for the counter top
For colors or fun espresso cups check out Pylones, a French company. Here’s one they posted:
Go to their website to get one. If you prefer a set with a variety of colors, we suggest Sensations’ 13 piece espresso set.
3. Vintage-style lighting
Instead of the typical ceiling fan and light fixture commonly found in homes and apartments, give your kitchen a vintage vibe with a retro-style one light pendant hanging light. Crate and Barrel showed it beautifully in this post:
Achieve a similar look with a CLAXY light pendant from Amazon.com for just $32.
4. Place coffee beans in clear bottles as accent pieces
To give your kitchen the cafe look, purchase a few clear bottles with lids. Place coffee beans in the clear bottle like the post shown below by Kinto. Kinto Japan makes the nicest looking clear bottles to store coffee beans.
The Kinto Bottlit bottles come in different sizes. We found the 150-ml and the 600-ml bottles at Amazon.com. Or get it from Kinto’s online store.
5. DIY vintage coffee wall art
For a unique, affordable, and colorful DIY coffee wall art, get Cavallini Papers & Co’s Coffee 20×28 inches sheet. Just use Japanese washi tapes as suggested by DesignSponge. Find this vintage coffee sheet on Amazon.com for $10.
