Wouldn’t it be ideal if we could look forward to our daily workout like the way we crave coffee? The truth is, we don’t!
VeryWell published an article on Top Reasons You Don’t Exercise, and the reasons that resonated with me are:
- lack of time
- can’t make the commitment
- don’t know how to exercise
Those are just three excuses I had and still sometimes have until I found free workout videos on YouTube and Amazon which I would like to share with you. These are five to 15-minute routines that are easy, fun and results-oriented workout I’m still following since the beginning of the year.
Studies show that daily exercise with a dose of coffee will bring more joy into our daily grind. Mayo Clinic’s article on Exercise: 7 benefits of regular physical activity stated that exercise:
- controls weight
- combats health conditions and diseases
- improves mood
- boosts energy
- promotes better sleep
- puts a spark back into your sex life
- can be fun and social
I’ll take all those benefits! Wouldn’t you?
If it only takes 15 minutes or less.
What if we combined both? The benefits of drinking coffee and workouts?
Mens Fitness’ article 5 ways coffee intensifies your workouts listed the advantages of drinking coffee before your workout:
- accelerates fat loss
- increases performance
- improves focus
- decreases muscle pain
- prevents disease

Whether it is the lack of time or motivation, let’s banish our excuses and get going with these workouts.
Warning: Not all exercises are suitable for everyone. You may have to check with your physician before starting any of these exercise programs. These are exercises that I do and have seen great results. Everyone’s results are different.
1. Pop Sugar 5-minute flat belly ab workout
This is one of my favorites because it only takes five minutes. I usually combine this routine with other videos for a 15 to 20-minute daily workout.
2. 10-minute workout for tank top arms
This is another Pop Sugar workout video. It only requires 10 minutes and I use six-pound weights.
3. Total Body 10-minute workout with Holly Perkins
Another of my favorites by Pop Sugar Fitness with Holly Perkins. I combine this workout with a yoga eye and arm exercise.
4. Ekhart Yoga for eyes, neck and shoulders
Being on the computer all day puts a strain on my eyes. I found this eyes, neck and shoulders exercise a year ago and I’m still doing it. Take a look:
5. Beginning Yoga: Easy morning yoga for a positive mind
I’m not one who will follow a long routine. I’ve abandoned a few after trying them for a few days. Most of the yoga routines on YouTube are too long for me. I would rather find something that motivates me, like one that is just 10 minutes or at the most, 15 minutes long. Recently I found Boho Beautiful’s beginner’s yoga. I’m still trying to stretch like her but to no avail. You may like it:
