Welcome to CoffeeSphere! My name is Bethany. I’m a coffee lover (I especially love cold brew!), a social media enthusiast and photographer.
CoffeeSphere was founded in June 2014 – as a place to share stories from coffee producers and roasters around the world. I took over this website in July 2020 – it’s now my little corner of the internet dedicated to coffee.
Here on CoffeeSphere, I’ve teamed up with a barista and coffee expert who shares helpful product round-ups and coffee making skills. We still occasionally share stories from cafes and coffee producers from around the world.
When the pandemic started, many of us, myself included, were finding simple ways to enhance our food and drink menus at home. While I couldn’t go to cafes, I began creating and sharing easy to make coffee recipes. I show you step by step methods for those who are new to coffee too.
My interest in food and drink styling and photography and recipe development began when I was a teenager working at my first job at VaynerMedia, an advertising agency in Manhattan.
As the youngest member of the team, I was frequently tasked with intern tasks.
I was more than happy to do it – I was handed the company credit card, hopped into taxis and went to fancy and specialty grocery stores all over New York City to find props and ingredients to style food and beverage photos for our client’s websites.
I saw photographers and food stylists at work making food and drinks look great on camera. I got interested too. So here, I use this site to practice, showcase and work on my food and drink photography as I continue to discover more about coffee. (If you want to find out more about me, check out my website bethanylooi.com)
P.S. I drink all of my coffee recipes! My favorites are anything cold brew (I drink it year round!) I also really like to bake so you’ll find coffee flavored dessert recipes here too.
Thanks for taking the time to visit CoffeeSphere.

Hi! Lori from Indiana and I’m just saying, coffee and I go way back. My grandma would make me cinnamon toast and “coffee milk.” I believe it’s called a latte. Hahahahahha! Old G-ma was way before her time.
